R. Madhavan breaks his promise for ‘Tanu Weds Manu’

Well, we all remember that after shy Madhavan made his debut screen kiss with Vidya Balan in ‘Guru’, he swore publicly that he would not kiss anyone on-screen again. However, filmstars are known to forget their promises with every passing night and so here we have Madhavan into lip locks with Kangana Ranaut in his forthcoming ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.
Madhavan plays a boy from London who comes to India in search of a bride and in this particular scene he has come for a formal meeting with a small town wild girl, Tanu, played by Kangana. Kangana turns up drunk before him with a half bottle vodka along with sleeping pills because she doesn’t want to marry him. However, Manu falls in love with her at first sight and kisses her, while she lays unconscious.
Explains director Aanand L Rai, “It’s a very funny but romantic scene, where the bride to be turns up drunk and almost unconscious with a long pallu drown on her face and Manu falls in love with her that very moment and agrees to marry her. The sweetness of the scene was required to be justified with a kiss.”
All, we can say is think twice before you promise…………..
